A surprizingly good bottle. Very fragrant nose of wonderful tertiary Burg provenance with lots of forest floor, mushroom, autum leaves, nice. Tannins now fully resolved and you could see that this was a masculine, structured wine in its youth as Beaune 1er Crus often are.

Mature, with the colour red as a brick. Smell of moulded figs and plums, taste with almost a port wine character (!) very very smooth, not harsh at all. Could probably been enjoyed earlier, I missed some of the flavour.

Correct, has some good texture but lacks some complex flavors

Un Bourgogne correct mais pas au niveau d'autres 1er crus. Toutefois un rapport qualité-prix correct.

Balanced, light, elegant, lovely aromas of red fruit, spices and undergrowth.
