  • Had this wine compared to the '08 and '09 versions of this vineyard. By far, this was the weakest and likely a reflection of the vintage since the '08 and '09 were quite good. Although the nose was enticing with notes of earthiness and spice, it was quite flat on the palate. Perhaps opened a little bit over the course of an hour, but was still lacking in fruit or any meaningful character. We had it with food and I think it would have been better just drinking it.

  • I really like how this wine smells. It shows pronounced cherry scents that are super dark along with red dirt scents. Grape skins and gentle tannins introduce this wine on the palate. A hint of minerality and some nice apple fruit shows up on the mid palate, with the cherry flavors suggested by the nose only playing a small part in the experience. The wine leaves a dusty feel in the mouth as well.

  • Ruby red color with hints of brick color. Nose was pine, earthy, raspberry and floral. The taste was grassy/earthy, cooked berries and licorice. Finish had medium tannins and earthiness, lasting approx. 15-20 seconds. Even balance of new and old world Pinot Noir with full flavor. Had a good blend of different flavors and tasted great with the pork chops at dinner.

  • Bright vibrant nose, raspberry-strawberry with wet soil and oak in the background. Light weight on palate with flavor tending toward raspberry with some orange zest and melon rind. Nice soft acidity and tannins that are balanced to the flavor and weight. A delicate wine right now, I found this a straight forward but delicious wine. Far better than the 06 in my opinion which was a beast. 88+
