Brickhouse Study (chicago, IL): Nose: The nose has a real savoriness to it that really draws you in with pomegranate, red cherries, strawberries, spice notes, herbs, earth tones, violets, and some dried rose petals. There is good depth with an open-knit take to it.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and resolved, medium tannins. The structure is in a perfect place at the moment with the feel showing a deft touch that is backed with pomegranate, red cherries, strawberries, earth tones, savory notes, spice tones, and violets.
Overall: This is drinking beautifully. This shows a lightness of being with a real savory quality that keeps me coming back. This won't get any better and it could fall off rather quickly, so drink up!

Brick House Survey (1995-2015): Intense, smoky and musky black cherry nose. Despite the intensity of fruit flavor the palate is lighter and slightly thin on the finish. Tasty, but in the context of the line-up, probably earlier drinking.

Brick House survey (Chicago, IL): I thought this was another of the weaker wines in the lineup today. There was a pronounced smoky quality here, and the fruit feels a little thin, leaving you with a slight green sensation. Just not as rich and full-bodied as many of the other wines in the lineup.

Great bottle with multiple types of Salmon. A little darker fruit than the last few bottle of 07 Les Dij we've had. But still fairly easy to pick out of a blind lineup as BH. Dark wild strawberries, loam, mushroom, light smoked meat, tobacco, cherry incense, and caramel apple. Has at least a few years left.

Delicious, and best guess is that could have aged at least another five years. Earthy, forest floor, mushroom, tobacco, dark cherry notes.
