  • First time I've ever drank any David Arthur. Tale of two nights. First night decanted and let breath three hours, then drank 2/3 of the bottle over the rest of the evening. Tannins never subsided and never tasted anything good. Second night (under pump) whole different story. Soft, tasty, deep, what you want from high end cabs. Guess that means maybe wait another five year, or decant/breath for 10 hours before drinking.

  • All the recent testing notes describe this wine pretty well. A little story on this one. Won this bottle at auction a few months ago and wanted to try it. At first, seemed to be just a bit out of balance with the acid being a little noticeable. Decanted for thirty minutes and this turned into an amazing bottle. I got a hint of blueberry, blackberry, spice box and a faint hint of chocolate on the palate. Wonderful bottle and in the end great QPR for what I paid. This turned into an exceptional wine given what we also opened. Sadly my lone bottle. I look forward to trying the 13 that I also have in 8-10 years.

  • Right in a wonderful sweet spot. Refreshingly "Traditional Bordeaux style Napa Cab" after all the big juicy fruit bombs recently.

  • Menthol and eucalyptus on the nose. Super amooth but not heavy. Plums, blueberries and some licorice. This is perfectly balanced and very easy drinking. So delicious

  • Agree with TexasBob tasting notes. My first impression - 45 minutes after slow-ox in bottle was" Good, not very good and I may have missed the drinking window. Left alone in glass for another 30 minutes and it was singing. Kept getting better over next hour. Full bodied, blackberry, anise, full 30 second finish. Beautiful Pritchard Hill wine that really showed the staying power of the 07 vintage. Plenty of life.
