Tasted blind. Red fruit, tart cherries, and a slightly rustic note on the nose. The palate has quite high acidity with some iron notes, red fruit, strawberries, but generally a bit less fruit than the nose. Good finish. This was getting better and better with air. In a great place and really delicious right now!

Uncorked 3 hours prior to consumption. Not decanted. Fairly young appearing with just a hint of brown. Really great nose of dried flowers, cherry and strawberry. The palate was a mix of cherry, strawberry, and umami (savory). Very delicate and well balanced with medium finish.

Dinner at Gilt (NYC): Leathery nose with hints of mixed berry. Well balanced with cherry flavor. Tannins have really softened and the wine is drinking well. I expect this wine to drink well for several more years, but believe this wine is in its prime right now. 95
