Tasted at the Amaru restaurant in Melbourne alongside the Pfeiffer Rare Rutherglen Topaque. As usual, the viscosity and color of this wine resembled spent motor oil. Was delicious to sip and drink but got beat that evening by the Pfeiffer which was more balanced and had better underlying acidity.

Wonderful viscous dessert wine. Tastes of caramel, raisins, figs, chocolate. Different from anything I have ever tasted before. I suspect it is great for several years more, at least...

Golden raisin/brown color. Nose of caramel, plums, and something weird/chemical. Not sure if it's just my bottle, but there is a chemical type smell that would slowly blow off. High viscosity. Taste of figs, caramel.

Mellowed considerably over the years. Raisiny and nutty.

Monster of a PX, fig, cherry, grape, tar and medicine. Tasted phenomenal second night after some air...this wine needs 10 more years...easy.
