Plenty of bitter cherry, almost liqueur cherry without the sweetness. Some liquorice on the palate. Slightly woody still. Doesn't have tremendous length but generally still a nicely balanced chianti. Might benefit from another year or two.
Fairly closed nose of cherry, and a tinge of cedar, oak. Ruby colour, and nice texture with lamb. Classic Chianti, however i was left feeling underwhelmed considering the price. Had a supermarket Rioja afterwards and was far more impressed, hence the low score.
