Deep garnet and ruby color, showing a spicy nose. It has a nice palate with strong tannins but smoother than tasted before. There were some excellent fruitcake notes with a long finish that was improved and delicious.
dark ruby color, full earthy nose of rich berries and chocolate. full mouthfeel, bright acidity that evens out into baked cherry, chocolate and coffee. long finish of sweet fruit but accented with strong rustic tannins that might seem harsh to some (like WE). it probably just needs a few more years or maybe not. heck, its Sardegnian. DAY 3: full flavors still great and even more so as the tannins had softened. this will age well.
