The nose was very flagrant, much nicer than the Drouhin '07 and Pascal Lachaux '07. The oak might have slightly overwhelmed the silkiness of the wine on the palate by a tiny bit. This wine will most likely improve with more aging and be a better wine than the other two '07 when the oak integrates better with the fruits. Tonight, it was not as ready as the Drouhin, so I gave it a 92. But this is probably will turn into something better in a few years.
This is stunning! Rich but elegant nose. Very complex: smoke, tar, meat, roses and violets. Balanced palate: lovey red fruit sharpness and acidity. So delicate... Superbe lenght and minute long finish.
Starts with the sweetness of Chambolle-Musigny with layers. Becomes many details in every element like " Love " and very sad at its end.
after 1.5 hours, when moving the wine around in my mouth, it's strong bitter on my taste buds. As long as I keep the wine in mouth, the more bitter, like bile, appears and totally can't stand anymore. Dare to drink ? " Yes " is the answer.
This is the one and only bitter wine in my life. ( in a good way ? )
Anyhow, I still want to buy few more bottles, just to feel it again sometimes.
I quite like it, actually.... " Love " actually !!!
