Birthday Bash: This has more sweet ripe fruits compared to the AF Gros. Airier on the nose and higher acidity on the palate. Has the natural power and depth even though I thought this was from a lighter vintage. Nice length with good persistency. Guessed 2011 Gevrey GC. Yet again a it shows the Chambertin always defies aging curve.

Open-knit, perfumed nose includes raspberry, earth, rose, and sous bois. Earthy palate with concentration beyond its weight. I would drink these over the next five years.

Started with scents of animal, meat, earth and soon red cherry fruits, orange florals and oak spices emerges from the glass .
Lots of toasty oak on the palate which was almost too much for me. Needs time before the sweet youthful tangy red fruits emerged. Spicy with good acidity though slightly heavy on the alcohol. Very long earthy finish and could still keep.

Very integrated, balanced and elegant. Full of red fruits such as red berry, cherry. Smooth and silky texture. Long finish. Not complex but very well made.
