  • Thick black mold on top of cork. Tartrate crystal on underside. Perfect cork otherwise. Deep, beautiful straw yellow, with flecks of gold. Canned petite pois, green beans, new mown grass, all things fresh, green and stinky with life. The primary hallmark of this wine is its very, very long, very dry, yet intensely fruit laden palate. Waxy. It's so noticeable how this used to be intensely sweet, and there's just no trace of that, yet the fruit is huge and intact, just not at all sweet or primary. Refined, deep, powerful, tremendous complexity - this was an honor to drink. Lasted for 2 hours in the glass with only a beginning of degradation at the end. Wonderful.

  • Amazing. Could have been 5 years old, but with significantly more depth, richness and complexity. No formal notes, but brilliant. So many layers of flavors. Just outstanding.
