  • My first bottle of vintage wine so much so that I am nervous opening it. With the help of "The Durand" (https://thedurand.com), we managed to remove the almost completely soaked cork, though it broke at the last 1/3rd. No big issue here.

Initially, the wine tasted like vinegar!!! But after a soft decant of 90 minutes, the vinegar taste started to go away, the grape flavours evolved and the wine became lively. On the nose, a beautiful delicate cedar wood scent with minerals. So perfume-like I can smell this all day!!! On the palette, super smooth silky character with soft cedar wood and plums. There is still a tint of vinegarish taste after 3 hours which is a little irritating. I wonder if this will go away had I decanted it longer.... Overall, the texture is so soft and refined, and the fruits just dances gently in the background. The fruits are rather muted bough. A truly surreal experience drinking such an old wine!
