At first pour the wine is very earthy, and somewhat herbacious to the point of being unpleasant. Fortunately this wine improved dramatically after breathing. It really need 2 hours to open up. At that point it turns into a nice full bodied, moderately earthy wine, with dark fruit flavors. Similar in profile to other Spring mt wines, though not as elegant as some of it's neighbors.
