Finishing off a case of 12 with a pristine bottle. Dark, spicy, with marks of citronella, salt, brine, yellow and green fruits. Spicy, salty, out and about and as good as it has always been. Chablis tasting with CG/Hasse/Finn.

Välfylld flaska och vackert honungsgult vin. Men något knas måste ha hänt under åren. I grunden finns här rejäl syra och frisk äpplighet som inte boknat till must men över detta trevliga en doft av aningen ankommet smör. Defekten finns inte i smaken men tar ner upplevelsen högst betydligt. Synd.

Approaching maturity, this is deep and complex with marks of lemon curd, flowers, apples, brine and stones. Amazing concentration, waxy, still with edge and cut this is a wine that requires food. Grand vin.

From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared under ideal conditions, this wine was uncorked and sampled over a two-hour period. Medium-to-deep golden in color, it is immediately expressive of baked apples, Cara Cara oranges, pit fruits, white flowers and wet stones. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) and with well-woven oak, it has impressive mid-palate density, salinity and chalky minerality. Finishing long and energetic, this 20-year-old Grand Cru Chablis has aged gracefully and shows virtually no signs of oxidation. Those holding bottles with good provenance will be delighted at how this wine has evolved. This particular bottle could have easily held up for another five years, but I would recommend current consumption because it is drinking so beautifully now. Drink now.

not up to standards, dull, somewhat dark and oxidized - disappointing for such a great wine
