  Initially decanted about 4 hours, with a couple glasses leftover for the next day. Lighter in color with bricking. Very viscous and sweet with bing cherries and licorice. The tannins are fully resolved. A medium slightly warm finish is short on acidity to temper that sweetness. A rather delicate VP at this point in its evolution and one that is at its peak drinking window, if not a touch past.

  Showed very well - had it over 3 days and it was consistently good without significant changes. Light brown, nice nose fruity, nutty, with some fleeting orange rind. Smooth and fully resolved. Showing just a little heat but lifted by good acidity throughout. Long intricate finish. Not the most complex port, but very good and a pleasant surprise. Got it for a song, so stellar value as well.
