Pnp, medium garnet with a ruby tone, lovely sweet red berries nose, hawthorne and matured sous bois. Ever so slightly grippy on palate, mildly acidic blends well with the fruit, not powerful but elegant expression of finesse. Medium to long finish.

Frankly, disappointing. Red fruits without precision, no real grip. Pleasant, but not what one expects from Bonnes-Mares and outclassed by 2001 Potel BM and especially 1999 Barthod Beaux Bruns. Cellared since original release.

Earthy, dark, decent fruit but the finish was drying and became moreso with time.

SS's Frenchie! Wine Night: Bottle was flat and disappointing - could be damage or bottle variation. Till next try.
