Wow, what an interesting, yet unusual wine. At first very funky on the nose with a distinct oxidation that fortunately blew off. After that the nose was full of minerals, citrus and nuts (hazelnut?). the mid palate was smooth and warm with some pear and apricot and wet stones, but the finish was long and elegant and full of citrus. It went great with anything truffle, of which we had several small appetizers. It also accentuated the flavors of things like a sourdough roll and a Vermont French-style cultured butter. This was a great accompaniment to almost half our meal at Restaurant Lorena in Maplewood, NJ...Superb
