Let this breathe for an hour, and the tannins on the nose were still tight. Black fruit, leather, a little sage fragrance. On the palate, the mouthfeel is very balanced and not as chewy as I was expecting. The acids carry the fruit flavors over the front palate but don't linger, instead making way for tannins carrying more of the aged blackberry-leather-tobacco. It's an elegant wine, and drinking beautifully. Glad we pulled it out now.
Very good, plus. Nice red and black fruit, not especially concentrated. Medium body. Easy drinking. On the sweet side; no off notes. Short to medium finish. No place to go from here, it would seem, so drink 'em if you got 'em.
great deep purple color, wonderful nose of fruit with potency of an effective dose of medicine, true to the south coast of California for it's vibrancy, fffffnnn great value, great 07, 2012 maybe similar
