  • Subsequent notes on this wine from two years ago. Medium golden bright yellow in color. Forward, attractive & aromatic nose of developed & complex, ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears & citrus notes of lemons/limes & grapefruit with overtones of smoky notes, flinty, wet stones, floral notes of honeysuckle, marzipan & butterscotch, spices, minerals & some vanilla notes in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, developed & complex, rich, ripe flavors of apples, pineapples, Meyer lemons & Persian limes with butterscotch, spices, honey, stony, minerals & a touch of toasted oak & vanilla. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & is at or close to its peak of development, so drink up.

  • Golden yellow. Very much a California Chardonnay with white orchard and tropical fruit, butterscotch, and vanilla oak, but this does have a nice mineral acidity that redeems it and keeps it far from being cloying. Very enjoyable.

  • Medium golden bright yellow in color. Forward, attractive, well developed and complex nose of expansive, ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears and citrus notes of lemons/limes & grapefruit with smoky overtones, flinty, wet stones, floral notes of honeysuckle, marzipan, butterscotch, spices, minerals with vanilla notes in the background. Medium to medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of unctuous, well integrated, developed, complex & smooth textured, rich, ripe flavors of apples, pineapples, Meyer lemons and Persian limes with toasted oak, butterscotch, spices, honey, stony, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present and has the structure and fruit to hold onto this current plateau of development for a while longer although any further develop with additional aging will be minimal. Reminds me of a Meursault Premier Cru in style.

  • Colour...Light gold straw but bright : Nose..restrained at serving temp 45f..floral and fruit with sweet hint of dandelion blossom : Mouth : great feel of acid and perhaps soft malo ( not sure of fermentation ) fruit was of pare and ripe banana but reserved. this made one hold the wine for some time trying to extract this mystery fruit but it was very pleasant. Enough acid to cleanse but body to let it linger. Finish : glycerol and long lasting. I'm sure it was a malolactic contribution. My overall rank was 91pts Top choice for Chardonnay on the light bright side.
