Whoa! Sad this is my last bottle. The almost 6 yrs since my last bottle has fully resolved the oak treatment and left a wine with a lovely acidic spine carrying those Meursault-y minerals and a palimpsest of tropical fruit. Delicious stuff.

This seems like declass Meursault qualitatively. Lots of oak, but well integrated. Some edgy cool vintage roughness that rounds out with air. This is very good but not my style. Still, distinctly French.

Geez I wish I'd bought more of this. A ton of breeding, performing way above its level. Really tastes like a good village Meursault. Brassy. Just outstanding right now. Will age a bit more but hard to not drink now. I understand this is half St. Romain and half juice from just outside of the Meursault boundary.

(Boillot Henri Bourgogne) Medium cherry-red. Just a small amount of toasty oak against high-toned, slightly estery fruit. Good freshness and concentration but the tannin and palate are still a little angular and harsh. If this wood derived angularity smooths out this will be rather elegant, try again in 2 years.
