Noticeably smoother and well integrated than last time, but starting to take on a confectionery texture and flavor that is a bit off-putting ... sweet in texture like something much older, but without the secondary and tertiary flavors to back it up, leaving you with an odd juxtaposition on the palate that is not bad, just not as pleasing as I had hoped. These are better consumed 1-2 years after release, I think.

once highly extracted; phenolics now dropping out quickly. garnet, thinning rim stewed fruit, taffeta tannins, l-medium acid, medium finished, medium bodied. drink now with ina's salmon and lentils, butter lettuce and green goddess dressing.

Very nice, but my last bottle. Less forest floor and more Cali fruit on the smell. Opening up 45 minutes after corking. On tasting you get with darker fruits and just a bit of menthol. All in all, quite good, although not over the top good at this price point.
