Succulent and sweet fruit, round and full for Les Cras, verging on overripe, so not as cool and minerally as usual, but still lively after 16 years. Good rather than great.

Cras vertical - this was my bottle and dont want to be a homer, but lovely wine in a vintage that I dont have much experience with... not as big and tannic as other years, but this had super pure red fruit that would dazzel the socks off non-burgundy drinkers, not overipe, so while I dont have the desire to backfill, no shame in drinking now and I look forward to other 2003's still +8 yrs

The nose is succulent, which you expect for a 2003, but also shows freshness, which you do not expect from this hot vintage. Rich color. Classy and smoky nose, with saturated, elegant and balanced fruit. Impressive (EMP)

(Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Cras") Pretty dissapointing. Nice velvety texture and rich fruit but alcohol peeking out and somewhat disjointed. Low acidity too. Good but not great. Just didn't really excite me.

Definitely a good 03 but I am just not an 03 fan. Tiny bit flabby and obvious in line with the vintage.

Even this terroir felt the heat affect. Lacks the lightness of better vintages, touch rustic.
