Almost black color like engine oil, some brown tinge on nose burnt sugar, caramel, quite intense on palate good intensity; very sweet and not much else. Not very complex but immensely satisfying.

A total delight. Thick brown, thick thick caramel and toffee and dried fruit with honey. Great intensity and complexity. Drunk over 3 nights. First night had a hard metallic note on the palate which made me wonder whether it has started to oxidise but on the second night this has gone to leave those wonderful heavy textures and tastes.

Very dark brown. Dried sultanas, must, dried figs, molasses. Syrupy and extremely sweet but with balancing acidity. Very long finish. Check your blood-sugar level before drinking this.

Excellent dessert wine. Great dark color, like used motor oil (in a good way), very viscous. Nose of chocolate and figs. Wonderful taste, coats the mouth with chocolate, caramel, fig, and dates, nice long finish. A great dessert after a wonderful meal. We also tried a little over a taste of brownie with a a little vanilla ice cream...excellent!

Excellent length and body. High viscosity. Figs, dates, coffee, chocolate. Like a dessert all in one. Goes on and on and on. Maybe a touch sweet, but could go very well with dark chocolate as the bitter in the chocolate and the sweetness in this sherry will be a perfect match.
