  • This was a very tasty rosé last year, but apparently the producer was not able to sell all their stock as they were giving these away for free this year. What has a year done to the wine? Popped and poured at fridge temp, the colour has deepened to a pale red. The nose has strawberry, but not fresh strawberry, rather old strawberry. The palate is definitely gone, not very refreshing. Lesson learned? Don't keep rosés for aging...

  • Very pretty, pale coppery pink in color. Rather reluctant nose, with some faint aromas of, possibly, watermelon and slight floral aromas. Palate is pleasantly tart & completely dry, but very difficult to identify specific fruits or flavors. Again, possibly some pink melon; good minerality. If I had tasted this wine completely blind, I might have guessed it to be a white. Despite my inability to identify specifics, it is, nevertheless, a very pleasant warm weather wine. Might pair well with light summer fare, but was especially enjoyable as an apertif. A good value @ ten bucks!

  • Had a glass as an aperitif and then the rest with dessert (wild blueberry, rasberry and strawberry pie). This is definitely a good rosé, and has nice layers and nuances (see my previous note for details). Made an impression on the guests.

  • Nice, VERY drinkable, sort of sweetish (as a dry wine) with just enough tartness, sort of earthy (which may be a strange thing to say for a Rose).

  • Popped and poured. It's really hot outside in Carcassonne and a cold rosé is called for. This is a nice salmon pink and has distinct aromas of watermelon and strawberries. On the palate it is somewhat sweet (but not very), light and very strawberryish. Quite a nice rosé in fact, suitable for quaffing on a hot summer's evening. 50+4+10+14+7=85
