A weekend of Jacky Truchot; 1/28/2006-1/29/2006 (Washington DC): (This wine was not the US V.V. cuvée, but direct from the domaine.) Mossy and lanolin nose. Light, some mineral, a bit of wool. Light in body, airy structure with a very good balance. Picked up some weight and a bit of milkiness. Quite accessible and good.

Light and garnet-clear in colour, this was a very precise wine. Pure fruit, light, but exact. Rainier cherries, some earth and stone, long, but light finish with lacey notes. Very narrow in definition, but supremely delicious in a style anti-thetical to the ’Parker’ one. A delightful expression of the vintage and the terroir and wonderfully paired with horseradish crusted salmon w/ melted Napa cabbage and warm remolaude. An excellent wine to enjoy while waiting for other vintages to come 'on-line.’

An old schooled offering. Beans on the nose, last for the whole night. A touch light on palate probably due to the vintage and the style.

Same light purity and precision. A little feistier in the acids with some good earthy undertones. Lacey, a bit short on the finish. Nice.
