Dark Purple on the rim, inside very opaque. Some Tannin and Blueberry on the nose; very reticent and closed. Tannin continues on the palate;some faint sweetne. Intense and mouthpuckering. Not much else. A "Black Hole" seems to have swallowed all other sensations. Difficult to judge. Wine is bland now; will it open over time?

Inky purple almost black. Smoky dark fruit aroma. Smooth with smoky blueberry and spice on the palate. Refreshing and bright with the acid, but not much on the tannins. Full body. Medium finish. Pretty nice bottle of wine.

drank it January at a wine tasting my neighbor and I threw in our little town in Iowa with nine other CA state fair wine winners. Liked it that night but not like tonight. Much better. Rated it an 85 that night. But today, fruit forward but not overbearing. Nice nose and mid palate. Finish is not as strong as the mid palate, but overall very impressed for a monday night with some left for Tuesday.

Damned tasty. I haven't been disappointed in anything from Twisted Oak. Smooth, aromatic, beautiful color. One of those excellent wines that there should be more of.
