A heavy, brooding wine with a little too much acidic nature on the top. Started out like a typical Napa Cab with big red fruit but mellowed into a nice semi-strong cabernet. Again, too acidic but nice medium finish The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like cranberry. It tastes like strawberry, blackberry, fig and violet. The body is medium. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.
I have liked this wine from the beginning and it is truly in a very good drinking window that should last for years still. Nose was aromatic with red fruit, spice box, very perfumed. The fruit was still pronounced in the body with round tannins and balanced acid. Great long finish. Should have decanted as it is unfiltered and even with standing the bottle for the day, the bottom pour was cloudy. 1 left and should give it a few years just to pace my enjoyment.
My kind of wine with loads of fruit. Purple in color. Cherry, minerals and blackberry on the nose. Shines on the palate. No tannin. Sweet cherry, plum, cassis, blackberry, minerals and a hint of licorice on a refined and balanced palate. What you look for in a CA cab. Very good now, but could get better, even though drinking beautifully

(Caymus Napa Cabernet Sauvignon) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-like a delicious strawberry and grape Blow Pop; very candied, but not fake; aromatically delicious; has a cinnamon and crème component (dessert like); cotton candy; spectacular nose; PALATE-this is extremely strong; extremely well made; great tannins; interesting minty eucalyptus component; black cherry; great structure; will easily last 8-15 years, but is drinking really well now; SV-94; GV-93+
