  • Discovered this bottle in our cellar and popped and poured it with a pasta dinner at home. While the CT community recommended drinking window closed in 2010, this wine is still drinking well. Pale yellow. Nose of green apple and lemongrass. Thin legs. Pronounced heft to the fruit forward viscous body. Flavors of green apple, honey, melon and spice. Some tartness and slight effervescence on finish.

  • NOish. Pleasant but just plain weird; very little of to indicate that it was pinot gris. reasonable to drink but a certain anemic-ness that was just, well, weird.

  • Nose is subdued, perfumy, reminds me of an italian grigio more than an alsacian powerhouse. Palate was spotlessly clean and enjoyable, well balanced between fruit, acids and alcohol (13.6%). Lightweight in an unobtrusive and pleasant way. This was quite a contrast to a 2001 Steinert pinot gris GC from the Pfaffenheim coop just before, which was heady, mature and very viril. A touch too alcoholic at 15% though, but 01 was a ripe year.

  • Very pale straw color. Floral nose with melon and green plums. Peach and melon on the palate. Well-balanced sweetness and acidity. Round, smooth finish.

  • pale, bouquet of white flowers and nuts, crisp and complete across the palate which is held together by balanced acid, stone, orange rind, melon, and apricot flavors are light but intense, very nice, food wine, could do well with shellfish
