  Pure, golden yellow color. Great focused nose: nutty, some toastiness, melon and a lovely rose petal aroma. Medium body, perfect balance and velvety texture. It ends with a long and mineral aftertaste. A wine to drink now or until 2008.

  Tasted in Amsterdam, courtesy of the Roots. After the '88 Krug champagne, this wine had a tough act to follow. It may have diminished my ability to gauge the backbone of this wine, but after the second glass it revealed itself to be in fine form. Medium-bodied, with a lemony, minerally profile. Some melon notes. Broad expansive finish. Ready to drink.
