My first Arnot Roberts Chardonnay. A bit disappointed in this. Given its pedigree and less than 13% alcohol, was expecting a more Old World styled chardonnay. While not over-oaked, this just seemed to have a fruit profile that was some what disjointed and over the top. I hope that this is just an off bottle.

Served as blind white 2 - my contribution, so I knew what it was. Light to medium straw in the glass. Steely on the nose with a secondary suggestion of wool. Tartish green apple fruit with more steely minerals on the palate. John guessed Chablis, which I thought was an intelligent guess.

Surprising still as strong as it was. Nice color, not over the top oak and enough fruit left to make an enjoyable bottle.

12.9% ABV. Light straw in the glass. Somewhat steely nose. Crisp, tangy apple fruit. Pretty good.
