Opaque crimson color. Multifaceted nose of rosemary, crushed flower petals, and freshly ground coffee beans. The palate is immensely floral, with a persistent stony note. The tannins have softened a bit, making this more accessible than the 2008 I recently tried. Nonetheless, this is a complex wine of abundant aromas and concentrated flavors, with the structural underpinnings to support extended maturation.
Rustic and beautiful bouquet with earthy, autumn and truffle. Also some coffee. On the palate chocolate, red and dark berry fruits, some earth, herbs and spices, minerals, pleasant and good acidity and round tannin with a good bite. Good length and overall a beautiful and complex wine. Ready now and a future until at least 2018. 92+
Deeper color. The nose is elegant and rich, showing a more liquor like quality. This is fairly full bodied on the palate, with outstanding concentration and very good finesse. The long finish shows big tannins and good acidity.
