  • 8/30/08: Pretty, straw gold birght color. The nose is quite deliteful with apples, citrus, and vanilla. The wine is medium bodied with good balance, with just the right amount of acid to make it a good wine with white fish or chicken, without just a touch of oak adding more vanilla than distraction. The taste is apples, pears, vanilla with a floral, citrus and chalk medium finish. Two bottle left and should drink them soon as this does not strike me as a chardonnay that will go on and on in the bottle

  • Similar to Rombauer in style. Fruity, smooth. Good summer wine.

  • California chardonnay for sure, but in a good way. Deep straw gold with hints of green in color, nose of apple, vanilla, and spice. On the palate it has a large presence of tart apple/spice and defintely a share of oak (but judiciously applied). Very pleasant for a California oaked chardonnay.
