  Deep garnet color in the glass. Its nose is vibrant, featuring dark plums and cherries with a hint of Pernod spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth and shows signs of maturity, with the fruit flavors receding to reveal tertiary notes of leather and tobacco, alongside pronounced tannins. Long finish.

  Spices, fruit and a hint of Mont Cherie. By far more aromatic than 5 years ago. Enough volume and ripeness for a 2008, but not opulent. Balanced. Good wine. Seems that there is potential for 10 more years.

  Bert's pension party part 2; Bordeaux (@ BV): Beautiful and somewhat rustic bouquet with sweet spices, dark berries and graphite. On the palate red and dark berries, sweet spices, sweet chocolate, some truffle, beautiful acidity and friendly, round tannin with a good bite. Will still improve over the next 5+ years. 92 - 93

  After 90 minute decant, it was lovely.
