May have held too long but still a nice wine. Some apples and hay on the nose and a richer mouth feel - some buttery notes lead to peach and nectarine that balanced with light minerality. Kind of tart on the end, but that might be the age.

This is an excellent Sauvignon Blanc from a premier winery in California. The nose is clean citrus, grapefruit, refreshingly clean. I liked this very cold, and once it passes the lips the ride begins. First a burst of sweet citrus with a acidic, tart layer . The layering of the flavor shines through out, the acidic side so tart you expect the bubbles of champagne, the fruit bringing you back to how refreshing the taste was. 95, best Sauvignon Blanc of the year.

An interesting hybrid between a NZ-style sauvignon blanc (tropical fruit, grass) and a Loire Valley sancerre (minerally, fruity). I like the combination, although I'm sure there will be those who think this wine has a mixed personality, or can't make up its mind what it wants to be. Besides the hints of guava and flinty acidity, this has a touch of spice that gives it a nice kick. This is YOUNG...I would decant for an hour or cellar for another year.
