From magnum, my last bottle and showing its age. Golden yellow color that was quite dark on first opening but actually lightened with some air. Tasted a bit like an old sweet wine that was bone dry, if that makes any sense. Lots of minerality and peach, apricot and some lime zest. It was interesting and tasty for the first hour but got a little tedious later to drink. It was only slightly oxidized so I decided to use the balance in the pasta I was making and it turned out well. Good, but clearly end of useful life.

This wine had a beautiful dark gold color. Mouth feel was light-medium with very little acidity. The nose provided notes of minerals, oak, and honeysuckle. The taste was delicious yielding flavors of minerals and butterscotch. Very nice! Score 92

This was the best bottle of this I have had thus far. So young and fresh looking you could never guess this was 15 years old! Medium to dark lemon yellow. Very layered and complex both on the palate and the nose. All sorts of layers going on. Needs a good decanting and drinks well over several hours. Creamy, white stone fruit, minerals, and just a hint of lemon zest on the finish along with butter sauce flavors and plenty of texture. This wine went amazingly with a fresh caught pan seared Stripped Sea Bass in a tomato, caper, olive and lemon sauce over sautéed, beet greens and spinach.

60% Ribolla Gialla of Cialla, 30% Verduzzo friulano of Cialla, 10% Picolit of Cialla. In tremendous condition for its age. Evidently built to last and has succeeded. Complexity and length. Mature but this will continue to last......
