Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86 points

  • Ruby in the glass. Inviting nose of raspberry and other red fruit. Fresh and elegant, gorgeous cherry, raspberry and currant notes, with some spice and earth on the finish. Very mild tannins. Well-balanced with a long finish.

Low score is mainly due to lack of intensity; this is a wine that I'd happily have again.

  • I don't know what it is about this wine or varietal, but it is so much different than anything else, yet also a nice daily drinker. It goes nicely with food or by itself. The sour cherry flavors are quite unique and unlike the the typical reds that I drink (Cab Sav, pinot, zin and syrah). This is the daily drinker to go to when you want a red, but not one of the "normal" reds.
