couldn't believe this bottle was still alive... fully mature appearance with plenty of tart cherry fruit, definite vegetal streak, some earthy tea like aromas, oak fully absorbed. on the palate high acids, a classic full mid palate, fully integrated tannins still with mild bite, low alcohol. obviously time to drink up but this bottle was alive and well (not profound but never was).

Light garnet color with an aged nose of sous bois, mushroom, hints of leather, dried red berry fruits. The palate is still fresh and very tasty with red fruit and earth. The finish is quite nice with everything in balance. Probably a touch over the hill so I would drink this rather than holding it further. A very nice effort though and a quality value consistently.

Last bottle. Still has a nice, authentically Burgundian nose, so full marks for that. Enjoyable but, once again, quite simple flavors. Hard to get excited about unless it were priced at half what it is. This isn't something I'll be buying in more recent vintages.

Soy and savory on the nose, more flush and fun on the palate. Some sweet savory notes in the mid.

My last bottle but has some yeas left. Soft, red fruit, sweet.
