I did not enjoy as much as the 2002. Nose and palate both dominated by dark fruit. A notable lack of spice, earth and general savory elements. Has softened enough by this point to be approachable but does not provide significant complexity. 90+
Still feels a little young, with a bite and acidity on the palate. Over 15-20 minutes, it opens up to reveal a bit of tart blackberry enveloped by a light ash. Several more years of goodness left in these bottles!
