Excellent sangiovese character. Blue fruit and citrus aromatics on the nose, dark fruit on the palate, very rich flavors. Later in the night among a series of ringers, held up extremely well.

"Holy Moly" was the phrase uttered on the first sip on the second day. Fresh out of the bottle the tannins were still present although well balanced with an undertone of red fruit and some mushroom and cooking grease. At 6 hours, more of a ripe cherry started to come through. Finish is strong black cherry, white truffle, and maybe tobacco. A really beautiful wine.

Opened and not decanted. Throwing lots of sediment. Also showing no signs of peaking. Dark cherry, red cherry, and bright cherry notes; some smoke, light cocoa, tannins are still a little tight but not off putting. Went very well with thin crust pizza and a tart tomato sauce with a spicy Italian sausage over angel hair pasta. Lovely wine. Very Good.

Just poured into the decanter and trying a glass. Showing age with clarity at the edge if the glass; combination of red brick and blood colored. Initial entry is sour with cherry, wood, funk that ends with a tart and drying finish. Will revisit after it opens. Later, more fruit with dry cherry. Good.
