Dichtes Rubinrot. Die Nase ist etwas verhalten, braucht Zeit, entwickelt sich nur zögerlich, deutet Tiefe an. Im Gaumen mächtig, druckvoll, straff, viel Struktur, etwas verhaltene Frucht, aktuell dominiert das Korsett, die Tannine sind noch sehr im Vordergrund, jedoch nicht trocknend. Langer Abgang. Ein Wein, der Zeit braucht aber auch Gefahr läuft, irgendwann auszutrocknen. Lagern und hoffen. 2028 bis 2040

I love this vintage of Chave which is medium-bodied and shows so much of the great terroir with dark red fruit and wonderful notes of olive tapenade and campfire char. Quite youthful and so lifted and fresh with a fabulous mineral crunch on the long, spice-driven finish. 95+

Ruby red, ruddy rim.
Pure red berry and soft spice fragrance.
Beautiful pure berries, warm and pulpy, lightly earthy, hints of plum stone spice, tar spice. Great acidity, long refined finish, superb drinking.
