(de Montille Beaune Les Aigrots) Medium-pale yellow. Lot’s of high-toned, sherbet notes over stony fruit and occasional hints of brioche. Good freshness, and not too much of the plump fat you often get in white Beaune. Actually there seems a slight family resemblance to the domaine’s Puligny - though clearly the considerable depth of flavour in the mid-palate lack’s for the Puligny’s fineness. I’d like a little more focus on the nose, but there’s no doubting how tasty it is.

Washington Tasters Guild Nuits St. Georges Dinner (Brasserie Beck): Lighter color compared to the Clos d'Arlot, more retiscent nose but with coaxing some butter, floral notes. Oak, subdued citrus fruit, round palate, good acid. Wood on the slightly clipped finish

2005 White Burgundies (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Mineral nose with a bit of lemon. Light to medium body, lemon and lime spritzed over river rocks. Great acidity.
