Light golden in color, elegant nose of honey and caramel, slight nutiness. Mature and slightly rounded palate, yet still with lively acidity. Very ready to drink yet will be able to hold for a few more years, brilliant.
Tasted blind, this wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The high- intensity nose offered up citrus, quinine, vanilla, and a hint of hazelnut.
In the mouth, this wine was quite rich with string acidity and excellent length. It improved nicely with air. This was a Riedel bottling and it was by far the freshest example that I have tasted. This one would have even improved for the next 5+ years. Other bottles have been noticeably more advanced. A lovely bottle!

(Lafon Meursault Charmes) had that buttery, sweet, Lafon style with pineapple, exotic spice, cinnamon, and fireplace in its aromatic and allspice nose. The palate was a little tight yet still upfront a la 1992 but very minerally and long on the finish. There was great acid and structure here and lots of dry butter and corn flavors
