Black with a deep ruby rim. Blackberry and mineral notes on the nose with some hints of licorice. Full bodied on the palate with good balance and a good attack. Thins out a touch on the end.

Big, bold and damn tasty. Has the balance and freshness that so many fruit-driven California syrahs never achieve. Well done.
Screwcap bottle...a bit tighter than the bottle with cork. These are big wines but still in balance.
Had this with grilled steaks last night. Good pairing to say the least. This wine is smooth and big at the same time. A great Syrah.
A little greener than most Carlisle syrahs, but still the typical Carlisle balance. From the screw cap bottling.
