Some very slight dulling/browning, otherwise dark damask red. On the nose: ripe plum, sweet pepper, slight bit of soft leather. Light-medium to medium body; toffee-like, peppery, bramble fruit. Immediately appealing. Hanging in there (considering its age), but beginning to go.

Very good. Immediately appealing on the nose - toffee apple, sweet leather, cedarwood with a hint of menthol. Very soft, smooth and rounded with tobacco, prunes and currants. A slightly perfumed finish with a hint of rose petals. Did others drink it too young, or has it got unsuspected ageing potential?

Did not enjoy this nearly as much as the 2008. Reached a slightly intriguing peak after about an hour of breathing then faded quickly. Wouldn't buy again.

- Ruby color and aromas of ethanol, blackberry and cloves and has flavours of vanilla, orange blossom and alcohol - A smooth operator this one. Well worth the price. Ravenswood is now quite consistent and this one is no exception. We tasted it blind and took just a title while for us to realise it was a Zinfandel. Not smokey at all.

Lots for fruit, berry nose. Surprisingly held up until now. Stil some life left, some oak, tannins.
