Drinks and Cards (London): Dark garnet. Aroma of iron, currants, touch of flowers. Really fine, deep flavour of dry blackberry, fruitcake, hint of dusty corners. Wine evolved in the glass to show spice and tobacco notes. Elegant and fine.

Cork came out clean. Decanted for sediments. Beautiful bouquet of dark fruits, cherries, spice, cedar and slightly drying in the mouth. Went perfectly with California reserved aged NY Steak from Flannery Beef.
After about 2 hours the fruits faded and I got basically cedar and oak. Still good but better at initial opening. I had to lower the score to 89. My bottle was in pristine condition and it wasnt ready yet. Needs about 10 more years to mellow out the oak. If your bottle isnt pristine you probably can drink earlier.

Better than I realized, with very good fruit and enough gravitas to take seriously. More superficial than the 98, but still delicious. 91
