(Dal Forno Romano "Nettare") When I think of nectar this is the color I envision. What is on this nose? Varnish, apricot, pear, pear essence, stewed apple, vanilla (not the oaky type), deep minerality on this ever changing nose. Unctous, Unctous, Unctous but with unreal acidity. Ripe, Ripe, Ripe but with almost Eiswein-like acidity. Flavors of persimmon, mango, papaya, custard and allspice on the palate. So complex and ripe. Very long finish that just tapers away. This is one of the most amazing desert wines I have ever had.

Very special to drink sweet wines like these which show no heaviness and have nice acidity. Has many many years ahead of it. Color was dark.

This is awesome - incredible balance of acidity and sweetness. Very different to the 97 RDF Recioto, of course, but I enjoyed it equally.
