  • {cork, 12.5%} Waning garnet. Aged nose of polished leather enlivened with a spicy, dusty-attic kind of aroma. It's all tertiary now, really. Remains quite intense, though; it's not a feeble bouquet. Spicy palate, with aging black fruits, a little white pepper maybe, with some earthiness. Tannins have faded to a memory; the wine is about medium-bodied, no more, and still enjoyable enough to drink without being startling. Not worth keeping longer now.

  • Drinking well right now.

  • This was very enjoyable, but it was just lacking a bit of front of palate complexity to score higher. It is still holding together well and should be alright for another year or two, but I'd be surprised whether it improved.

  • {cork, 12.5%, A$32) Bright red,no bricking. Nose of earth and dirt, developed spice shiraz and classic Rhoney notes (no brett for me). The palate has softened right out now - faint powdery tannins remain, it's acidic enough to keep its structure, has a medium-bodied weight all the way to the back palate; overall it was better than I was expecting. At ten years, no-where much to go, but has held on well.
