Popped the cork at 2p, served at 9p alongside brownies with a raspberry glaze. Simple, and fully integrated at this point (considering the aeration, anyway), RP's 93 looks absolutely silly. 16% abv, drink thru 2015
I last opened this three years ago and was put off by the sweetness, very different from the Banyuls from Dr. Parce that introduced me to Banyuls vin doux naturel. Time has turned some of the sweetness to caramel and nuts and the finish is drier and more port like. My hope is that with time it will continue to come together and some of the simple sweetness will evolve into more notes of interest.

(M. Chapoutier Banyuls Vin Doux Naturel) Very dark raspberry red color; roasted berry, smoke, chocolate, tart black fruit nose; tasty, rich but poised, baked berry, black fruit essence, chocolate, berry liqueur palate; long finish (not as heavy as many Banyuls)
