Dark garnet with still some ruby hues. Quite evolved nose with tertiary aromas of undergrowth and olive alongside dark plum, anise, dark chocolate and other sweet spices. Full-bodied with very sweet fruit, velvety tannins and balancing acidity. Very long aftertaste. Very enjoyable at this stage and given the maturity of fruit on the nose and the smoothness on the palate, I would not keep it further.
Deep garnet color. Very expressive nose with aromas of olives, sweet blueberry and blackberry fruit and anise. Very beutiful nose truly New World wine. On the palate it is full bodied but somewhat lacks backbone as tannins are soft and acidity low. A dry wine but fruit is too sweet for my taste. A remarkable wine which I personally find a little tiring, but I can see how one can rave about it.
Other TNs are all over the board about whether this wine is too young or too old. To me, it definitely needs more time to integrate more of the oaky and alcohol notes. That's the main knock for me on this otherwise fabulous Cab. Lots of currant, blackberry, licorice, mocha, leather. Very smooth tannins. Luscious, long finish. Great bones (tannin and acidity) will keep this wine for a lot longer.
