(Gros Anne Vosne-Romanée) Aromas that are high toned and a little floral. Ripe, sweet fruit, good concentration and a faint grain to the tannin. Some barrel flavour on the finish, but this is still rather good.

Popped and poured, then consumed over approx 2 hours. Bright red berry with baking spice and earth hints. Overall moderate weight and density, but with very good balance. Fruit got more pronounced with more time in glass.

Chicago Wine Flock..."Various Expressions of Pinot Noir" (My home - Chicago IL): Tasting blind in vertical. Forward and very charming, lots of fresh and ripe red fruit aromas. Great red cherry, strawberry flavors. Modest spice, modest complexity. Best now through 2020.

Forward red cherry and strawberry aromas with Asian five spice. Similar on palate with very good balance, even if slightly less nuanced than normal. Still a very good Villages wine for the vintage. Better than I recall from when tasted shortly after release , I think this wine has upside from here.
